When we first envisioned Notes of Harmony, we saw an organization with the potential to touch the lives of thousands of underprivileged children. We realized that to be able to fund our dream, we had to be able to accept contributions from people who believed in our mission. The simplest and most effective way for us to accept contributions was to apply for 501(c)(3) status, which would provide us with the tax exemptions we needed to operate.

After filing our application to the IRS, we waited for a very long year. Although we were not able to accept contributions during that waiting period, we did not sit idle. Our team continued to make progress towards our visi0n. Over the year that our status was pending, we built connections within the community, spread the word to our friends and family, and grew even closer as a team.

On August 18, 2014, we received a letter of approval from the IRS. We could hardly contain our excitement, as this was a major step towards making our dreams reality.

We are proud to announce that we can now accept tax deductible contributions. Please contact us if you share our values and are interested in contributing. Thank you!
